Variety reports that insiders familiar with the filming and early cuts of Todd Phillips’ highly anticipated sequel to “Joker” suggest that the film is primarily shaping up to be a “jukebox musical,” featuring around 15 reimagined versions of “well-known” songs.
Joker” will feature covers of well-known songs. Insiders say the movie will be a “jukebox musical” with at least 15 reinterpretations of familiar tunes.
One confirmed song is “That’s Entertainment” from the 1953 musical “The Band Wagon,” originally sung by Judy Garland.
Whether any rap songs will be included is unknown.
The movie is titled “Joker: Folie à Deux” and stars Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.
